Adam Schrag

Senior lecturer in strategic communication at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.

My research and teaching interests revolve around visual rhetoric, media studies, crisis communication, and critical pedagogy.

My current research focuses on accidents, network ecologies, media aesthetics, gifography, and contemporary military visuality. My book project “Surface to Surface: War, Aesthetics & the Screen,” investigates the entanglement of war and media technologies through an array of screen artifacts drawn from weapons systems, cinema, and media art.
