Adam Schrag

Associate Professor of Communication in Film & Media Studies, Student Media Adviser, and Coordinator of the Media Arts & Design Lab at Fresno Pacific University.

My research and teaching interests revolve around critical media studies, visual culture, and critical pedagogy. 

I teach documentary studies, visual rhetoric, and media & society, among other classes.

My current research focuses on network ecologies, media aesthetics, gifography, social justice, and contemporary military visuality. My book project “Surface to Surface: War, Aesthetics & the Screen,” investigates the entanglement of war and media technologies through an array of screen artifacts drawn from weapons systems, cinema, and media art.
